Application Software introduction

The application software is what actually makes computer do something based on the user’s programs. In general, we will be buying a computer because of the applications it runs, not for any deeper, technical reason. Applications use the processing capabilities of the computer and apply them.
Applications software is the generic term for programs that do something which is not specifically to do with making the computer work. Examples of applications are word processors, spreadsheets, etc. a programming language can also be an application, although it is really a special sort of software, since it is designed for creating other software.
